Remove or Change Google Background Wallpaper Image.
If you haven’t already noticed, Google has added a new feature to their main page: a background wallpaper image. As many individuals do enjoy the feature, some people would like to remove the background altogether, while others would like to change the image to something pertaining more to their interests.
If you would like to remove or change your Google.com background, look in the bottom left hand corner of Google.com. Here, you will see a button of text that says “Change Background Image.” From there, you can upload a blank white image, to make things plain. Alternatively, you can upload a fun background that you’re interested in.
This is Google’s second major change this year. Earlier this year, Google featured a sidebar, much like Bings, on the left side of their search results. To learn how to turn off the sidebar, simply search Google for, turn off Google sidebar.

I INTENSELY dislike the new desktop feature. It now defaults to a color-busy image that is the anti-Christ to the normalcy they used to display. If I have to sign in to an account just to change the image, I’ll use a site other than Google. It’s would be only the 2nd search engine change I’ve done in 17 years on the net. If fact, I’m gone now. If I notice that they revert it, I’ll return.
Dear Google:
BIG mistake. You’re defeating one of the main reasons I like Google: a nice, clean search page. You will chase people away in droves.
(BTW, with Bing on the rise, this was VERY bad timing…)

google has been my homepage for years… and without a one click way to get rid of the backgrounds i will change my homepage… stupid move!!!!
I was having difficulty with the Google background wallpaper but then found a site called Gazoomy (http://www.gazoomy.com) which is far far better.
It’s a very slick version of Google and the images look beautiful with the transparency of the search bar and results page. The results page updates on the fly as you enter information into the search bar, so it’s very very nice and highly recommended.
Google at the moment has the image on the search page but that’s it. Gazoomy has the image seamlessly throughout. You can even move the search bar to wherever you like so it doesn’t obscure a main part of the image. Really good site, so try it out.

You enticed me into changing my wallpaper, and now I can’t find a way of getting rid of it. Publish a simple way to get me out of this, or I’ll go to another site. A shame, because I’ve been a Google man for years.
