News By The People was created to provide readers with news and news analysis, written by citizen journalists from around the world. Any one person may register to become a journalist, but before submitted articles are published, they’re reviewed by our editorial team.

Submitted articles will be reviewed by our copy editor, before finally reaching our chief editor. If the article submitted by the citizen journalist meets the editorial guidelines, it will be posted here at News By The People.

News By The People’s Principles of News Coverage

News By The People will not accept contents for publishing if the articles are plagiarized or misleading. Hate related and discriminatory content will also not be accepted. We will review articles submitted by citizen journalists within 12 hours of submission. If the article meets our editorial guidelines, it will be published on our website.

Become A Citizen Journalist

If you would like to become a citizen journalist, feel free to register. Upon registering and logging in, you can begin submitting your articles. Your articles will first be seen by our copy editor, Chanelle P. If your article meets our general editorial guidelines, it will be passed on to our Chief Editor, Taylor Thompson. Your article will be accepted and published if it meets our editorial guidelines, and contains only a minimal amount of grammatical and spelling errors. If your article is not published, we will contact you and provide you with the reasons why it wasn’t. You will then have the chance to correct your errors and resubmit your article. Citizen Journalists also have the opportunity to make money for their articles.
