Calvin Johnson Catch Ruled Incomplete: See Why! VIDEO! PHOTO!

With 24 seconds to go in the Chicago Bears – Detroit Lions game, Lion’s WR, Calvin Johnson pulled down a deep pass into the end zone, for what looked to be a touchdown. Johnson caught the ball, got his two feet in bounds, but after going to the ground, and after having control of the ball the entire time, the ground forced the ball out of his hands. The ruling; Incomplete. Many fans are absolutely outraged with the call, but rules are rules, and the correct call was made. Tip: See video on Youtube.

According to a Fox video, Rule 8 Section 1 Article 4 Item 1 states that a player must physically catch the ball, and hold onto the ball, until the play is over, for the ball to be considered a catch. Clearly, Johnson dropped the ball, after the ‘catch’ was made. Now, many will argue that the play is over when the initial catch was made, and the feet were placed on the ground, for a would-be touchdown. Problem is, the definition of the play being over isn’t clearly stated, which is why many people are upset with the call.

When it all comes down to it, Rule 8 Section 1 Article 4 Item 1 is clearly laid out. Whether you agree with the rule or not, is a different situation. I for one, believe that the rule was created to bypass a referee from deciding whether or not the ball was in the players control long enough to be ruled a catch. Fact of the matter is, you don’t want games being determined by referees, you want them being determined by players, and I believe this rule was created to do just that. By the way, the Bears beat the Lions 19 – 14.

Inez Sainz Pictures: Harrassed by Jet’s Players?

Inez Sainz is said to be one of the hottest reporters in Mexico, and it seems that selective players for the New York Jet’s NFL football team would have to agree. Recently, Sainz took a visit to one of the Jet’s practices for an interview with their Quarterback, Mark Sanchez.

According to College News, Sainz waited on the sidelines, while the players practiced. During the practice, it’s said that many passes were purposely thrown in Sainz’s direction. Later, in the locker room, Sainz claims to have been harassed with suggestive comments, by unnamed Jet’s players.

Recently, Sainz posted this comment on here Twitter account, “Thanks everyone for your support. I already spoke to the NFL, which will decide if there will or will not be consequences. I can say that at the time I didn’t want to pay attention to what was happening but the rest of the media heard clearly and in solidarity have denounced what happened, hoping that there is always a respectful climate.” The NFL is currently looking into the issue.

Legarrette Blount Punches Eric Bakhtiari + Byron Hout Video!

We all remember when Oregon Ducks’ LeGarrette Blount punched out Boise State’s Byron Hout. Then, after punching out Hout, Blount proceeded to attempt to fight with crowd members, during his escort out of the stadium. Okay, so Blount’s actions weren’t nearly as bad as the actions of the players on the Pacers and Pistons NBA basketball teams. Still, because of his actions, Blount was suspended and became notorious for his actions against Hout, shown in the video below.

Today, reports are coming in from the Huffington Post, along with numerous other reports from other sources, that LeGarrette Blount is back to his punching ways for a second time. This time, the Huffington Post reports that Blount, who’s currently in training camp with the NFL team, the Tennessee Titans, punched defensive end, Eric Bakhtiari. This time though, Blount will not be punished for his actions. Pushing and shoving ensued between the two players, when Blount threw a right at Bakhtiari’s helmet.

Before leaving the field, Blount apologized to coach Fisher for his actions, and released this statement, “That was my past. It just came up again. I got into one of those situations where the defense pushed me too far. With training camp and everything going the way it is and being as intense as it is and me being a rookie, it was just something I shouldn’t have done. But I did it.” As long as Blount keeps his cool during an actual game, things should be fine. But if Blount continues to become upset over a little pushing and shoving, he’s going to have a difficult time keeping himself under control in an actual game.

In the video, (it seems to be a 3rd down play), when Brandon Jacobs (running back for the Giants) accidentally knocked Manning’s helmet loose. Manning was then hit from behind by Calvin Pace (Jets). Then Manning was hit again from the front by another Jets player. Closeup replays suggest that the glove of the player scrapped against Manning’s face, causing it to bleed. After being hit, Manning almost instantly covered the cut. He then ran to the sidelines where a trainer covered his cut with a towel.

Manning was removed from the game, and the Giants settled for a field goal. It was later stated that Manning had to get the cut stitched up. Giants ended up beating the Jets 31 to 16, scoring 14 points in the 4th quarter.

We sure hope that Tim Tebow didn’t pay for this haircut. Okay, so we know that Tebow didn’t pay for the haircut, but why did he get it? Welcome to the NFL, Tim Tebow. As a part of a rookie hazing, NFL rookies are “sworn in” with what some would call a “wack” haircut. But according to the ladies, Tim Tebow is still a cutie, no matter how he cuts his hair. “He is still cute no matter how you cut it,” one girl was quoted by the Examiner. Twilight Star Ashley Greene seems to agree, and admits that she has followed Tim Tebow “all the way.” The Florida native also admits that she has a crush on the star quarterback. See Tim Tebow Before (Above) — See New Cut Here!

Although Tebow’s new haircut isn’t necessarily good for his looks, it is good for his publicity. The new crazy cut, which shows Tebow bald on top, and hair surrounding the bald spot, shows that he is willing to go the distance for his team, something that Dallas Cowboys, Dez Bryant wasn’t willing to do. According to Bryant, he didn’t realize the cut was tradition. Good excuse.

When asked about the cut, Tebow stated, “I just took it, tried to be a good sport with it. It was fun, you know? I think all the rookies had a good time with it.” The NFL Football season is just around the corner. Tebow will be seen this upcoming season playing ball for the Denver Broncos.
